*waddles onto the blog scene*

In my writers group last night, we had a presentation on how to get published in the “Chicken Noodle Soup” series.  Honestly, I thought, “This really isn’t for me.  I like fiction and sci-fi and fanfics!”  Currently, I’m working on a little drabble (hence the reason for going to said writers group) but another part of the presentation caught my attention: blogs.  I confess, I’m not a blog reader and NOT a blogger.  There are a handful of blogs I catch weekly, but I’m a click-on-my-favorite-news or Pinterest kind of gal.  So when Marissa said that having a blog, as a writer, can build a better platform for my writing, I thought, “I can do that!”  Let me preface you, dear unknown reader that has accidentally stumbled across this page, while I’d love to play in the writing sandbox of life with the heavy hitters, I know that likely will never be (honestly, I’d never want the fame they have, it’s so invasive). Until then, I’ll try and figure out this blogging thing.

Who knows, some day I may be in the local Barnes and Noble, signing my story in the latest “Chicken Noodle Soup” series.

About sarahb5149

When tasked with how to describe myself, I get quiet, leading people to believe that I am trying to come up with something deep and meaningful. In fact, I am trying to decide which to display without confusing them. I'm a Christian. And that doesn't mean that I simply say it - I love the Lord and have figured out over the years that He knows what He's doing, even when I am stomping my feet or looking at Him like I have no clue what is going on (*hint* it happens more than I'd care to admit). Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a wee lil' thing; I kept my first poem in all of it's stammering, unevenness. Wife and mom, daughter and sister, aunt and Sunday School teacher, I adore the roles that God has given me. A bit of a sci-fi nerd, geek and self proclaimed dork, there isn't much that I won't try at least once...unless it involves mayonnaise because that stuff is just gross. View all posts by sarahb5149
